ABOUT FLOYD MILLER
Floyd E. Miller, II, is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He later received his Masters Degree in Education from Virginia State University.
In 2017, Floyd was appointed as the President & CEO for the Metropolitan Business League (MBL) after 17 years as the Senior Director of Urban Programs with Special Olympics Virginia. His experience consists of working closely with the MBL’s board of directors, securing funding through sponsorship, grants, and fundraising events. Floyd is solely responsible for the day- to-day operations and managing the organization’s annual operating budget. He is committed to providing quality resources, and programs for small, women-owned and minority businesses through education, leadership, and advocacy.
ABOUT RANDY BROWN
Randolph (Randy) Brown has worked as an internal market research consultant for several Fortune 50 companies. In addition to General Mills, he has worked at General Foods and Colgate Palmolive. While at Colgate, Randy served as the Senior Market Research Manager for the Oral Care Division (Colgate Toothpaste, etc.). He was also the senior researcher assigned
to the corporate ethnic marketing group.Upon moving to Richmond, he worked as a consultant for a major market research consulting firm, then founded X-RAY Market Research Services, LLC (the firm is currently not pursuing public sector projects in Virginia). He has served as a Certification Officer for SWaM and the federal Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) programs with the Department of Minority Business Enterprise (currently the Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity).
Randy graduated from the State University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree in Economics (concentration in Applied Econometrics). He currently serves as BusinessServices Manager – Central / South Virginia for SBSD. Randy and his wife, Charry, are the proud parents of 2 grown sons. He and Charry currently reside in Chesterfield County.
