Marianne Lawrence – VP Communication

A 41-year member of ABWA, Marianne was a founding member of River City Express Network in 2001. An active member of River City Express Network and ABWA, Marianne has worked in all areas of league management, served on ABWA’s National Board of Directors, and was selected as one of the 1998 national Top Ten Business Women of ABWA. For most of her career, Marianne worked in engineering and manufacturing. In 2001 she established Triangle Resource Group, a creative marketing small business. She closed the business in 2016 and now describes herself as “mostly retired and looking for new challenges and adventures”! She has been married for 45 years to her husband Lou. Shelli Lord-Pawson – VP Finance

The Finance Committee and the VP of Finance develop an annual budget for the Network and present it to the Board of Directors for final approval. The Committee reviews the budget mid-year and reports findings and recommendations, as appropriate. The Committee manages advance and day-of meeting registrations, accepts payments, and prepares attendance reports. Kelly Gannon – VP Marketing

Kelly Gannon has been a member since 2017. She is an investment advisor representative with Foresters Financial. She offers personalized service combined with a long-term approach and fresh thinking to provide clients with financial solutions, guidance and tools. With degrees from Virginia Tech and VCU, Kelly is also an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, teaching research methods and fundamental account planning skills. Marc Friedlander – VP Membership

Marc Friedlander is the owner of Senior Assisted Solutions. He helps families solve the complexities of senior living here in RVA and the rest of the country. Marc is a Certified Senior Advisor helping adult children of aging parents that may need assisted living, memory care, independent living, private-pay nursing care, and in-home care. I love RCEN as it is such a wonderful and compassionate organization. From the first moment that I visited as a guest, I was welcomed with open arms (I guess winning the door prize the first two attempts helps as well ). Marc lives in Glen Allen with his wife Rebecca and two children. He loves being able to be a complete husband and father as he leaned from the best, his grandfather.
