At the recent RCEN Board Retreat, enthusiasm and energy prevailed! Ideas were plentiful and planning the 2021-2022 RCEN year has begun in earnest.
In light of the news of COVID-19 upticks, some members’ hesitation about in-person meetings, and difficulties in securing meeting venues at reasonable costs, we are moving our 20th-anniversary celebration to September. We are confirming the location and other details and will post as soon as possible. There will not be an August meeting.
This break in our usual schedule will give us breathing room to develop our plans for RCEN’s “new normal.”
How can you help make RCEN the best we can be? Consider helping RCEN achieve even more by putting your considerable skills to use in one of our open board positions:
- The Vice President of Membership is responsible for growing the league’s roster by organizing new member campaigns hosted by the network and/or participating in community outreach events.
- The Vice President of Programming is primarily responsible for identifying and securing speakers/facilitators to deliver a 40-45 minute presentation relevant to the interests and needs of the Express Network members.
RCEN’s Executive Board works together to fulfill our mission. You don’t need to be an expert or have prior board experience to be considered to join us. We learn and grow together, and welcome enthusiasm and new ideas. If you’d like more information, contact RCEN President Jean Pollard at president@rivercityexpressnetwork.org.
