Founded in 2001, River City offers an exciting mix of programs, networking opportunities and social events, and continues to grow with over 80 members. Monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month. Registration includes breakfast, networking and the featured program.

River City Express Network is an affiliate of the American Business Women’s  Association (ABWA), one of the largest professional women’s organizations in the country. Members benefit by gaining connections and resources locally and nationwide.

    • Mary MaupaiPresident: Mary Maupai

      Mary is an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay and has been a member of RCEN for just a year. Since joining she has served on the Membership Committee. She has been married to Skip for almost 10 years and they live with two dogs and two cats. The best business she ever got was “to make sure you can communicate (write and speak) well; your boss will teach you the details of the job.” Mary loves to have fun and laugh, “I truly believe that if no one has died and no one has gone to jail, it can all be fixed!”

      President-Elect: Amy Grieves

      Since joining RCEN in March 2015, Amy has been an active and enthusiastic member. She served as Vice President of Programming for the 2016-2017 RCEN year. Amy is a financial advisor with BSV Investments. She is married and she and her husband have “the sweetest black lab in the world, a very grumpy fat cat, and a beautiful, slightly mean horse!” Her favorite networking tip is to remember, “Everyone may not be your client; however, they may lead you to your best client.”

      Kimberly EleyVice President, Communications: Kim Eley

      Kimberley W. Eley lives in Prince George, VA, with her wonderful husband/BFF, a four-legged furry child, and even though she snorts when she laughs, has lots of wonderful friends and family members who will actually spend time with her in public. Kim is passionate about helping others become their best selves – as a writing coach, publisher & life tech (life coach)! She adores cats, orchids, cooking for her husband and friends, River City Express Network, and gets all her news from comedy channels.

      Jill GayleVice President, Finance: Jill Gayle

      She is a self-confessed “process and system nerd” who thrives on making systems work. Jill founded RollForward in March 2016 to make a positive impact for clients by deploying great business systems, customizing cloud applications to fix problems and harness opportunities, and automating processes.

      Kelly Gannon Vice President, Marketing: Kelly Gannon

      Kelly Gannon has been a member since 2017. She is an investment advisor representative with Foresters Financial. She offers personalized service combined with a long-term approach and fresh thinking to provide clients with financial solutions, guidance and tools. With degrees from Virginia Tech and VCU, Kelly is also an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, teaching research methods and fundamental account planning skills. She spends a lot of her spare time with horses!

      Cheryl PelligrinoVice President, Membership: Cheryl Pellegrino

      A member of River City Express Network for 1 year and wanted to get involved the organization after her first visit. Cheryl is a Benefit Specialist with a passion to help education people about being better healthcare consumers. She lives in Glen Allen, VA with her husband and best friend along with their two Yorkie-Poos, Sydney and Sophie. Her favorite things to do are visiting her daughter in Florida and Zumba.

    • Ginny YoungbloodVice President, Programs: Ginny Youngblood

      Ginny became fascinated with improving processes after reading Cheaper by the Dozen as a child. She developed a diverse background in Operations Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Planning, and Performance Management at DuPont. Ginny created her consulting firm, TheYokes Group, to continue sharing her passion with executives for creating process transparency, defining clear objectives, and encouraging change dialogs for improved user outcomes and results. She teaches Business Process and Operations Management at the MBA level and presents at global conferences. She is a member of the APICS Board of Directors. She is married and has four children.

    • Cindy MimsVice President, Resource Development: Cindy Mims

      Cindy has been a member of ABWA since 1987. She was the charter president of RCEN and has been an active member of the network since then. Cindy is Vice President of Community Development at BB&T Bank where she implements the bank’s community development program initiatives by working closely with nonprofit organizations, municipalities and others. Edgar (AKA Grey Cat) shares his home in historic downtown Richmond with Cindy.
