Tom
Davidson
is founder and president of Davidson Leadership
headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. Tom is a speaker,
consultant and executive coach, in private practice in 1999
after more than 20 years experience with Fortune 500
manufacturing organizations. During that time, Tom
progressed from field forester to vice president of human
resources and organization development. Tom's primary
research, writing and speaking interests are related to
leadership skills for technical professionals in a changing
workforce.
Davidson's
formal education includes BS degrees in both agricultural
economics and forestry from N. C. State University, and MBA
from the University of Richmond and an MS in organization
development from the American University and NTL Institute
in Washington, D.C. HE is also a certified senior
professional in human resource management, a certified
business coach and a professional member of the National
Speakers Association. He has also been a fire fighter,
outdoor survival instructor, competitive windsurfer and
radio talk show host. To maintain a balance life, Tom enjoys
windsurfing, horseback riding and ballroom dancing.
Tom and
his wife, Ellen, are animal lovers with dogs, horses and
various wild critters who wander onto their property in King
William County. Tom has also been a forester, a fire
fighter, a trail guide, an outdoor survival instructor and a
competitive windsurfer. In fact, he once raced in the
largest windsurfing regatta in the world, and is still
talked about to this day because he was the only one in the
history of the sport to get officially lost on the
racecourse! |
