ABWA is a
national organization devoted to advancing working women through the
development of individual skills, leadership abilities and business
relationships. The mission of the American Business Women's
Association is to bring together businesswomen of diverse
occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves
and others grow personally and professionally through leadership,
education, networking support and national recognition.
The River City Express Network
(RCEN) was founded in Richmond, Virginia in 2001 to provide Richmond
area businesswomen a unique opportunity to enrich their lives
through relationship building, education and professional
development. Our membership is diverse in age, industry and career level. They
are executive officers, hold administrative and management positions
and work as professional, technical and sales experts. About half
are small business owners. They work in real estate, marketing,
medicine, travel and tourism, staffing, hospitality, the law,
insurance, personal service, accounting and taxes, employee
benefits, banking, government, financial planning, sales, public
relations, education and many more industries and business sectors.
